About
Qld Logging Pty Ltd has been selectively harvesting North Queensland Timbers for over 30 years. We are a family owned and run business with a respect and passion for timber.

Under the selective harvest method, the forest is not cleared. Individual trees are selected from across the site for harvest, leaving a residual forest cover that includes some large trees retained for habitat purposes and other areas that remain unharvested.

Selective harvesting encourages natural regeneration by increasing the amount of light that can penetrate the forest floor from openings created in the canopy, allowing our beautiful resource to be harvested for generations to come whilst respecting the natural landscape and wildlife.
North Queensland Timbers boast some of the finest species from Black Bean, Qld Walnut, Northern Silky Oak, Black Wattle, Qld Silver Ash, Maple Silkwood, Qld Maple along with a range of hardwoods.

We welcome site inspections and are enthusiastic about sharing our North Qld range of timbers.

Whether it be Veneer Logs, Furniture Logs, or Hardwood. We selectively harvest which means we ensure that we are only taking resource which will be used, not full clearing. Selectively harvesting ensures the regrowth and sustainability of the forest for generations.
Timber Identification
Many of the North Queensland Timbers are still found in many Queensland Homes and Buildings. Often 100+ years of coating, sanding and general wear and tear makes it difficult to identify the exact species which may have been originally used.
Our experienced personnel know timbers and know how to identify certain grains and cut in the timber to match in with existing. Give our team a call to identify your unique piece of history.
